Saturday night out

I demand at least one night a MONTH out of my reclusive boyfriend to go out on an official "date night". I mean we are a "couple" and this is what "couples" do. After arriving at The Cheesecake Factory in Dadeland Mall, we found a line of people that extended beyond the exit. They were all waiting to get one of those "vibrators" that lets you know your ready to be seated. So we made a quick 180 for the parking lot an decided to head for the ever evolving South Miami "district".

I like to call it a "district" because South Miami Has become a neighborhood full of entertainment. Unlike the seedy South Beach, or the even seedier and nearly abandoned Coconut Grove, South Miami is turning into quite a gem for "Miamians". Finally, a piece of Miami where we can walk around to dine, shop, dance, drink, watch a movie or even spend a fortune on fancy bowling!

The highlight of our evening was stopping by the brand new and very "hip" Cavas Wine Room. This place is fantastic. I feel like I'm saying this a lot but, FINALLY! A place we can actually have a drink, lounge, and actually be able to talk. No loud music, no darts, no seedy bar. And the best part about it? It's economically friendly!

Here is how it works. Selected wines are available for tasting through electronic fountains. Each tasting depends on the amount you choose to taste, and ranges from $1.10 to $20 a taste! Cavas gives you a pre-paid card, of any amount you like. The card itself costs $2.50 (but you can keep it, it never expires) We chose $20 to fund our wine fest and it was definitely enough for us to have a good taste of different wines without getting drunk.

Overall it was a fun and relaxing experience. Definitely a repeat, maybe next time our friends can join us! :)

Gossip Girl is BACK!

Ah yes...my sinful and totally guilty television pleasure, Gossip Girl is BACK!!! It's been 6 weeks since they aired a new episode, and I found it rather sadistic of the producers of GG to make us fans wait so damn long! I was nearly skipping with joy as I left work today!

It was a great episode, and I was happy that Blair got the spotlight rather than Serena (which i find quite boring to watch lately.) Unfortunately, their weren't any Chuck + Blair scenes...AGAIN.....but according to the spoilers, there will be many encounters between these two...and I can't wait!

I am going to come right out and say it...I am 24 and I LOVE Gossip Girl. There I said it.

RE5...a game for lovers ;)

My new favorite addiction in video games...Resident Evil 5...
This game has taken ages to come out, and although I had hesitations over the xbox controller versus the Wii (which I preferred) it turned out to be a GREAT...no....AMAZINGLY FUN game!!!

The best thing about the latest addition of the franchise, has got to be the CO-OP! I can play with someone else! Online or here at home! Which means me and the boyfriend (pictured) can bond while impaling zombies. Hooray!

However, what is NOT COOL, is when said boyfriend gets mad because he "thinks" your taking all the ammo ( I WAS NOT!) and then decides to be a douchebag by shooting an oil barrel I'm standing next to.

WATCH YOUR BACK NESTOR....

After all is said and done, this has turned out to be a highlight of the week for me! I can't wait to get through all the levels with my beloved, even if he is a jerk. :)
